Day 2 Stockholm

Walking out into beautiful 70 degree and sunny weather in Sweden. What more could you ask for? We were so excited to explore the city with our friends (who grew up there), but first a quick nap at the hotel to ward off jet lag.

Liam- “But I’m not tired!”

Day 2 Highlights

-The hotel key card has to been placed in a slot so you can turn the lights on. Sustainability is huge here!
-There is also no air conditioning inside any building. Love a good breeze from open windows.

-Every street you turn down is just beautiful and so unique. We can’t get over colors and architecture on the buildings.
-We ventured down Queens Street which has these cool red decor hanging above the street. There are lion statues and embellishments everywhere.

-We met up with our friends to venture to the water, over bridges, and to the most lovely restaurant, Josefina. There was a huge field for the kids to play in and blankets on each seat to keep you warm (Amber’s new favorite thing).

-Our dinner was so lovely…but it did take over 2 hours to get our food. Good thing we needed to stay up late and the sun doesn’t set until after 10.

-Stockholm is extremely safe and very clean. The kids had fun taking off for an hour or so and exploring a bit on their own (Liam’s friends know the city well).

Fingers crossed for a full nights sleep!
